“Is that your home world?”
​
“Yes.”

“Records indicate you have a sister, Fae. She seems to get into trouble with the
Assembly law enforcement quite a bit.”

“My sister lives a reckless life, yes.”
​
“I see.”
​
“I had a brother too, Enton.”
​
“I know.”
​
“I’m just… Making sure it’s on record.”
​
You are aboard the SS Warhorse, what is your role on the ship?
​
“I’m the first mate.”
​
“A very antiquated term.”
​
“It’s apt. I help out the captain on minor issues, especially relating to the crew. Make sure they are in shape too. Allows the captain to focus on technical and navigation matters.”
How did you come to end up on the SS Warhorse?

Interviewer’s Note: She looks down at the table for some time.
​
“Mainly a series of unfortunate events. But after I left Han-Yllic, I just hopped from ship to ship trying to find somewhere to settle down.”

“What made you decide on the Warhorse?”
​
“I liked the crew, I liked the captain and I loved the ship.”
​
“What did you like about the ship?”
​
“It has an old soul. A relic from a different time. I researched the ship’s history a lot. It’s very traveled, and has seen many crew through journeys.”
“Then you know it once a slave trading vessel in The Void?”
“Not all history is good. Especially when it comes to Free Space.”
Interviewer’s Note: Free Space is a slang term for what the Assembly call The Void.
What do you hope to achieve being aboard the SS Warhorse? What does a proficient combatant have to gain from being aboard such a piece of space junk?
“First of all, the Warhorse is not a piece of space junk! Second of all that’s… a really odd question…”
“Odd?”
“Private. I didn’t realise the Assembly cared so much about us these days.”

“The protection of its citizens is the Assembly’s highest priority-”

“Bullshit. We both know that isn’t true. You have whole worlds out there being run by criminal gangs. You do nothing. Half the officers in Assembly space are probably being bought off by the criminal empires. You might look down upon the people who live in the Free Space as vagabonds, but at least you know where you stand with people.”
“Miss Squire, I can assure you that is simply not the cas-”
“You can ‘assure me’ as much as you want, all it does it make you look like an ass.”

That aside, how long do you plan to stay on the SS Warhorse?

“As long as I’m needed. As long as I want.”
Interviewer’s Notes: She is scowling and looks very unresponsive to questioning now.
You and the rest of the crew of the SS Warhorse were recently involved in an altercation on the planet Hispero. Reports from different witnesses tell a very chaotic story of a bar fight gone too far. Tell me what happened.
“I’m surprised any reports from Hispero didn’t take a whole week to get you. That said I would have expected at least a month for any kind of response.”
“The incident, Miss Squire. If you please.”
“Some men were getting a bit too touchy feely on my crew. Catherine, Kittenna and Lillith can usually handle themselves in that regard. But I don’t appreciate any man foolish enough to get handsy with Shelly or Mia.”
“You look out for them?”
“Of course. Shelly is a gentle soul, she’s still not used to being out in the Free Space. Mia acts tough, but she’s quite weak. Definitely barks worse than her bite. They are a part of my crew. I won’t let them any idiots take advantage of them.”
The SS Warhorse recently got itself a new captain. What happened to the old captain? What did you think of him?
Interviewer’s Notes: She looks sad. Clearly she was close to the late captain.
“He was a brave man. He died helping out some folks on Ya-Semmon. Some bandits from off world came. Slaving bastards. They ruined the whole town, so we had to relocate them. Captain was very clear. Everyone makes it out of here.”
“That was an order?”
“It wasn’t often he’d give us one. Especially an unreasonable one. Leaving him behind like that… But he requested it. And everything he’s done for me. It was the least I could do.”
What are your thoughts on the new captain?
“I think he has a lot to learn, but if he's anything like his father, he will be great. A little unmotivated so far, but he will do well I think.”
“You have faith in him, is that because of his father?”
“I have faith in those who have had hard lives to step up and become better than what they had before. Sometimes I’m right, sometimes I’m wrong. Time will tell on whether I am right or wrong about the new captain.”
Finally, what are your thoughts on The Galactic Assembly?
“You have got to be kidding me!”
